Hostile Mobs

In 99 Nights in the Forest, there are various hostile Mobs that will attack the players when they come near them. When the mobs are defeated, they will drop food and other unique Items.

Wolf

Wolves are the first hostile Mobs that players will encounter in the game. The Wolves will attack the player and chase them for a short while. If killed, they will drop 2 small pieces of meat and 1 steak.

There is also a chance to get the Wolf Pelt from this encounter. This item can be traded with the Pelt trader for upgraded items.

Alfa Wolf

Alfa Wolves are a stronger version of normal Wolves. They have more HP and are easy to spot because of their glowing red eyes. Alfa Wolves will attack the player and chase them for a short while. If killed, they will drop 3 small pieces of meat and 1 steak.

There is also a chance to get the Alfa Wolf Pelt after defeating this Mob. The Pelt can be traded with the Pelt trader for upgraded items.

Bears

Bears are one of the strongest animal Mob other than the Deer Monster. They are located farther from camp, and they protect the last 2 caves where the Missing Kids are located. Bears will attack the player and chase them. If killed, they will drop 4 small pieces of meat and 2 steaks.

There is also a chance to get the Bear Pelt from this encounter. This can be traded with the Pelt trader for upgraded items.

Cultists

Cultists are hostile human NPCs in the game. They will attack the players camp periodically, approximately every three nights. The Cultists are located around the map at their camps.

There are 2 types of Cultists in the game: one will wear a black robe and wield an axe or a spear, while the other will wear a red robe and use a crossbow.

The Cultist have a chance to drop the Cultist Gem, which is an important item for crafting at tier 3 and 4 of the Crafting Bench.

Aliens

Aliens are another type of Humanoid Hostile NPCs. Players will notice their UFOs flying over, before having a number of them crash to the ground.

Upon crashing, two Aliens will emerge from the downed UFO to guard it. Players can defeat these Aliens in order to access a Mothership teleporter. Interacting with it will teleport the player inside where they can encounter and fight the Alien Elite.

Aliens can wield two different Weapons:

Raygun
Laser Sword

Deer Monster

The Deer Monster is the main enemy of the game. It is immune to damage and only attacks at night. The only way for players to avoid this enemy is by shinning the flashlight on it, which will stun it.

Arctic Fox

Arctic Foxes are a new type of hostile mob from the Winter update. These mobs have less health then aa basic wolf but they attack in packs, which means if the player attacks one they will get the attention of any fox near the target.

They drop a mix of veal and can drop a steak. The Arctic Fox can also drop the Arctic Fox Pelt that can be used to trade with the Pelt Trader NPC and to craft cold resistant gear.

Polar Bear

Polar Bears are the strongest type of Bear in the game. They are located deeper in the Winter biome. The Bear can drop a variety of veal and stakes and has a chance to drop the Polar Bear Pelt.

This item can be used to trade with the Pelt Trader or to craft cold resistant gear.

Mammoth

The Mammoth is one of the strongest hostile mobs in the game. Upon death it will drop a big mix of veal, steak and ribs which are the best meat in the game. The Mammoth can also drop it’s tusks.

Frogs

With the frog update various Frogs have been added. At first glance they seem weak, but their tongues are dangerous. They spawn near ponds and whirlpools.

Frog King is located in Frog Cave, which you can get to by jumping in the whirlpool.

You will need 8 Frog Keys to open the Frog Cave. You can get Frog Keys by fishing in the ponds that have a frog key marker or by killing frogs however, killing frogs has a low chance of dropping the key.
