Staffs

Function

Staves increase the damage done by the player based on their listed multiplier. Higher-rarity Staves provide more powerful modifiers, improving the player’s efficiency during wave clears in Fight Mode.

Note: Staves will not grant or unlock additional Magics or visuals.

Acquiring A Staff

There are a couple of options when it comes to obtaining Staves in Brew A Potion.

Joe’s Staff Stall

The primary and the most common on is purchasing it from the Joe NPC at his Staff Stall.

Simply walk up and ask him to buy a Staff. Each Staff can be purchased using $ or Robux.

Higher-rarity and damage multiplier Staves will not appear in his Shop as frequently as the other ones. Meaning, if you want to get your hands on a Venom or a Reaper Staff, you will probably need to wait a while.

Note: Joe’s Staff shop resets it’s stock every 5 minutes.

Chests

When opening a Chest in Brew A Potion, there’s a small chance that you’ll be rewarded with a random Staff.

Higher-rarity Chests have better chances of rewarding you with a Staff.

Travelling Merchant

Staffs can also be a part of the Travelling Merchant’s Stock.

The Travelling Merchant can carry one or more Staves in his stock.

They are usually cheaper than the Staves purchased from Joe’s Staff Stall.

Upgrading

Your Staves can be upgraded to further increase their default damage multipliers.

This can be done by finding and interacting with the Gary NPC in the Shops section of the lobby.

The Gary NPC will allow you to upgrade a Staff.

Staves can be upgraded by bringing three copies of the one you mean to upgrade.

Doing so will create a single upgraded version of that Staff with a ★ next to it’s name.

Each ★ adds an additional +35% damage increase to the Staff’s original damage modifier.

Example: A staff with a x2 modifier becomes x2.5 when upgraded. (2 x 1.25)

Staves can be upgraded more than once. However, each additional upgrade will require three Staves of the same ★ level.

Example: To upgrade a [★ Staff] to a [★★Staff], you will need to deliver three [★ Staff] Staves to Gary.
