Progression

In Devil Hunter, your main goal is to progress by gaining Rank in order to become stronger. There are two factions, the Public Safety department and the Yakuza. Both factions have their own Rank systems but the progression is relatively similar. The rank up progression for members of the Public Safety is more focused towards PvE and World Events, while the Yakuza rank up progression is focused on PvP.

The reason why you want to progress and gain Rank is because of Stat Points. You get 5 Stat Points per Star, which you can allocate in desired Stats. These Stats are important since they make your character stronger, as well as allow you to wield stronger Weapons and learn various Skills from the Skill Tree.

Rank Progression

On the top left corner, you will see a button that will expand when you click on it. It will reveal a chainsaw with Stars in it.

These Stars show your progression for next Rank. There are 5 Stars in total for each Rank. You earn each Star when you reach a certain EXP amount, which you get by completing Missions, killing Devils, doing Raids, and so on.

To rank up, you must gain all 5 Stars, as well as fulfill the rank up requirements, which you can see by hovering your cursor over the chainsaw. In some cases, the final Star will also have requirements, which will usually be to kill a certain amount of player characters, Devils, or to achieve World Event wins.
