Stats And Weapon Proficiency
In Devil Hunter, your character has stats which you can increase by using Stat Points. There are 6 stats that your character has and those are: Sanity, Technique, Resistance, Speed, Health, and Strength.
In addition to this, you also have Weapon proficiency which allows you to learn Weapon skills and wield stronger Weapons.

Stat Information
To increase your stats, you’ll have to allocate Stat Points. Stat points are gained when you gain a star, and you get 5 Stat Points per Star. Stars mark your rank-up progress which you can check in the top left corner.

Sanity
- Increases Contract (Devil) ability damage.
- Expands Red Bar (Soul) capacity for Contract skills.
Technique
- Increases all Skill damage.
- Improves precision and advanced technique skills.
Resistance
- Reduces the impact of status effects and contract debuffs.
- Slightly improves posture.
- Scales fiend regen.
Speed
- Increases movement speed.
- Allows invisible dashes against slower targets.
- Enhances speed-based skills.
Health
- Increases max health
- Improves survivability and defensive skills.
Strength
- Increases overall weapon damage.
- Enhances strength-based skills.
Weapon proficiency
Below your regular stats, you will also see Fire Arms, Light Weapon, Medium Weapon, Heavy Weapon, and Firearm. These will tell you your Weapon proficiency.
Weapon proficiency is needed if you want to wield stronger Weapons or learn skills from the Skill Tree. However, you can’t increase these by using Skill Points; you have to use the desired Weapon and defeat the enemies in order to gain Weapon proficiency.
Fiend Stat
Unlike humans, fiends do not have weapon proficiency but, they do have Fear. Fear is how fiends measure their progression and it is needed for learning Fiend skills.
