How To Get Shovels

All of the Shovels in Dig can be bought with Money. However, in order to buy them, players will need to find their specific points of sale.

The Rocky’s Shovel Store in Fox Town would be a prime example. Beginner Shovels can be bought here. For the other, more efficient ones, players must venture out into the World and find them.

Below you’ll find a list of all the Shovels in Dig, their locations, prices and Stats.

List Of Shovels

Each Shovel in Dig is unique, as are their Stats. Depending on the situation players find themselves in, some Shovels might be a better fit than others.

Fox Town Shovels

Fox Town is the Starting Point for new players. This is where their characters will spawn in when first launching the game. The Area has six Shovels in total, including the Wooden Shovel that players get once they spawn in for the first time.

Combat Guild Shovels

The Combat Guild is located deep in the Fernhill Forest. Once there, players can buy a number of Items including the Slayer Shovel. To buy the Shovel, players need to defeat six Bosses. Doing so will unlock the Slayer Shovel for purchase.

Cinder Cavern Shovels

The Cinder Cavern is a cave system located in Fernhill Forest. Inside of it is an Elevator, which players can use by paying $1,000 to the NPC located right next to it. This grants them access to the lower levels of the Cinder Cavern. In the lower levels, players can use Enchant on their Shovels and buy the Magnet Shovel, located to the right of the Elevator exit.

Magnet Shovel	Price: $10,000 Control: 6.5 Strength: 7 Haste: 3 Luck: -100 Boss Damage: 20 Special: This Shovel only digs up Junk Items, but is efficient in finding Usable Items (Enchantment Tomes, Crates etc.)
Solstice Shovel	Price: $190,000 Control: 0.5 Strength: 26 Haste: 5 Luck: 5 Boss Damage: 65 Special: The Solstice Shovel grants a +1 Chance to Shiny, and +10% Chance for the Venomous Modifiers. Synergy: The Solstice Shovel has a +3 to Haste and a +15 to Luck when paired with the Solstice Bell Charm. Location: The Solstice Shovel is located at the Solstice Shrine in Cinder Cavern. Players must bring 3 Basilisks to the Shrine before being able to purchase the Solstice Shovel.

Cinder Shores Shovels

Located right along the beach of Cinder Shores, the Cinder Shores Merchant sells some items and two different Shovels. Both the Ruby and the Bell Shovel can be bought here, and there are no prerequisites for their purchase.

Verdant Vale Shovels

The Verdant Vale is home to a giant Farm, full of farming equipment and hay stacks. Players who come across this farm have the option of visiting the Merchant and buying the Jam Shovel which has a special effect.

Jam Shovel	Price: $800 Control: 4.5 Strength: 4.5 Haste: 6 Luck: 12 Boss Damage: 27 Special Effect: The Shovel has a 10% chance to coat the player and others around them in Jam, increasing their haste temporarily. Synergy: The Jam Shovel has a +2 to Haste and a +3 to Strength when paired with the Jar of Jam or Jar of Peanut Butter Charms.

Rooftop Woodlands Shovels

The Rooftop Woodlands is a place covered in large trees and mushrooms. It is also the location of the Spore Spade, a shovel that grants the players who buy it a special effect when digging.

Spore Spade	Price: $30,000 Control: 8 Strength: 5 Haste: 5 Luck: 18 Boss Damage: 15 Special Effect: The Shovel has a 10% chance to spawn a Luck Totem during digging, increasing Luck by 6.

Cinder Approach Shovels

Cinder Approach is a zone located at the foot of the Cinder Mountain. Players can come across Tom’s Bakery on the way to the top. Here they’ll be able to purchase the Shortcake Shovel. However, before doing so players must complete 5 Bakery Quests first.

Shortcake Shovel	Price: $45,000 Control: 7 Strength: 9 Haste: 4 Luck: 18 Boss Damage: 30 Special Effect: The Shovel has a 25% chance to make items “Tasty”.

Mount Cinder Shovels

Mount Cinder is the highest point in Dig. Covered in ice and snow, the icy terrain of the mountain can be a hazard for vehicles. Players who venture near the top can find a small village, and in it the Frigid Shovel. The Frigid Shovel has a special effect, that can help players when digging.

Frigid Shovel	Price: $75,000 Control: 6 Strength: 8 Haste: 4.5 Luck: 22 Boss Damage: 50 Special Effect: The Shovel has a chance to dig up Frigid Items.
Pizza Roller	Price: None, complete Pizza Quests 30 times. Control: 8 Strength: 13 Haste: 1.5 Luck: 9 Boss Damage: 55 Special Effect: The Shovel has a chance 25% chance to grant dug-up Items the Pizza Modification.

Copper Mesa Shovels

The following Shovels can be found in the Copper Mesa region in Dig.

Archaic Shovel	Price: $60,000 Control: 7 Strength: 10.5 Haste: 4 Luck: 20 Boss Damage: 40 Synergy: The Archaic Shovel has a +1.5 to Control and a +6 to Strength when paired with the Copper Cowboy Hat Charm. Location: Salty’s Saloon
Glinted Shovel	Price: $345,000 Control: 9 Strength: 7.5 Haste: 7 Luck: 25 Boss Damage: 86 Special Effect: The Glinted Shovel has a 20% chance to make items “Golden”. Also restores Endurance over time. Location: Sovereign Temple inside Sovereign Chasm in the Copper Canyon Region. Players must use a Glider to cross the Chasm and access the Temple.

Alona Jungle Shovels

The Alona is a dense Jungle located between the Copper Mesa Region and the Mount Charcoal Volcano. The following shovels can be found there.

Obsidian Shovel	Price: $100,000 Control: 3 Strength: 5 Haste: 16 Luck: 10 Boss Damage: 50 Synergy: The Obsidian Shovel has a +3 to Strength when paired with the Magma Boots Charm.

Mount Charcoal Shovels

Mount Charcoal is the end-game region in Dig. To enter it, players must have the Magma Boots Charm obtained by completing the Magma Boots Quest. Having this Charm equipped nullifies the intense heat of Mount Charcoal.

Boss Drop Shovels

These Shovels can be dropped by Bosses in Dig.

Candlelight Shovel	Control: 5 Strength: 10 Haste: 5 Luck: 15 Boss Damage: 45 Dropped From: 40% Chance to Drop from Candlelight Phantom Boss.
Arachnid Shovel	Control: 6.5 Strength: 3 Haste: 4 Luck: 25 Boss Damage: 80 Dropped From: 40% Chance to Drop from Giant Spider Boss. Special Effect: Has a Chance to increase Control while digging.
Venomous Shovel	Control: 3 Strength: 11.5 Haste: 7 Luck: 16 Boss Damage: 75 Dropped From: 40% Chance to Drop from Basilisk Boss. Special Effect: Has a Chance to grant Items the Venomous Modification.
Monstrous Shovel	Control: 9 Strength: 10 Haste: 5 Luck: 30 Boss Damage: 60 Dropped From: 35% Chance to Drop from Molten Monstrosity Boss. Special Effect: Has a 50% Chance to grant Items the Dark Modification.

Travelling Merchant Shovels

The Travelling Merchant lives up to his name. Players can find him anywhere on the map, considering he spawns randomly. Once he spawns, he’ll stay at that location for 10 minutes before moving on. Always carries a Shovel and two other Items.

Meteor Shovel

Players can purchase this Shovel if it spawns on top of a crashed meteorite during a Meteor Shower event.

Starfire Shovel	Price: $600,000 Control: 9 Strength: 10 Haste: 5 Luck: 30 Boss Damage: 60 Special Effect: The Shovel has a 35% chance to grant items the Celestial Modification.
