Trivia
Ace is inspired by the cutlass used by Gol D. Roger from One Piece. Roger is credited for starting the new pirate era after becoming the Pirate King and finding the One Piece. He named his son after his sword, which he, after his death, entrusted to his biggest rival, Garp from the Marines.
He is also the original owner of the Straw Hat, which he gave to Shanks, who then gave it to Luffy.
