Butcher Moveset

The attacks the butcher does are relatively simple and easy to avoid/counter. It has a 2 hit combo attack, where he swings with his serrated machete.

He also has two 3 hit combos. First 3 hit combo, he swings with his machete 2 times, and on third attack he dashes as he slashes forwards. The second 3 hit combo, he swings with his machete 2 times, but on third attack he punches you with his hand, knocking you back and knocking you prone.

He also has a leg kick attack.

Tips: After every attack, the Butcher will stay in place for a short duration, use this window to squeeze in an easy attack, or to prepare to dodge his next combo.

Phase 2

After defeating the Butcher, he will succumb to the voices, unleashing the beast inside and becoming Magnus, Butcher of Depraved Abandon, the Sin of Lust/Indulgence. During this phase, butcher has a new appearance, becoming bigger and gaining monster like features and additional red arms.

Phase 2 Moveset

Magnus, Butcher of Depraved Abandon has a more dangerous moveset. There is a 5 hit combo, where he swings his arms 3 times fast, and smashes all 4 of his limbs on the ground on his 4th hit and then he unleashes an AOE hitting everyone around him in a small radius as his 5th attack. He has a 3 hit combo, swinging his arms 2 times, and following up with a 3rd attack with his upper red arm. He has an unclashable attack that grabs you with his upper red arms that deals a lot of damage. Around the half HP mark, he’ll do multiple screams that hit anyone, reducing their hp to 50%.

Tips:

• Focus on clashing against him for quick stagger and Starvation stack. Clashes are easy to win because of the Guilty Pleasure (decreasing his clash power by 3) stack.
• After every clash win, he will apply Paralyze to himself.
• After the scream attack that applies Plaything status and reduces your hp to 50%, try to clash with him. He will have 3 Impaired stacks (reduces clash power).
• When you stagger him, he will heal you by 5 x Plaything stacks worth of %HP.
• While you are trying to clash, be careful of his grab since it is not clashable. It can be hard to notice, but pay attention to the red korean letters above his head. Make sure to dodge it, it will make him will apply Paralyze status to himself.

• Second phase of butcher is inspired by Dead End Butcher from ZZZ (Gacha game).
• Represents Sin of Lust and Indulgence.
• Hiring Maya on this request will unlock the questline for Envy Sin if certain criteria is met.
