Location
Tim can be found at his Retirement Cabin located on top of a cliff overlooking Wavebreaker Cove. Players can Track his exact location by using the Notebook ([Tab] default Key-Bind).
Class Training
“Will you take the path of the Mage?”
By Interacting with Tim, players are able to learn the Mage Class in exchange for 40 Silver and 17 EXP.
Unlike other Base Classes, the Mage Class does not have any active skills. The Passive Skills learned from Tim help the player Control and Charge their Mana faster, while also allowing them to learn new Spells from Scrolls.
Passive Skills
Passive Skills are inherent Buffs or Debuffs which can be active both on the Player or their Target, and do not require a direct input from the Player.
- Mana Enthusiast:
- The player Charges their Mana faster.
- Scholar Mage:
- You can now learn new magic through the power of Scrolls. Your exact Mana Percentage is now displayed under your Mana Bar.
Tome
“Well, that’s all this old man can teach you. Though if you’re looking to deepen your studies, there are many powerful Scholars from the Grand Order throughout this land who’d gladly take a Scholar of your caliber under their wing.”
After learning all the available Passive Skills from Tim, players will have the option of Purchasing a Tome.
“Oh, of course. Channel your Mana into this Tome and you’ll notice better casting results.”
A Mage’s Tome increases their overall Casting Speed and hovers around them whenever they Equip a Spell. A tome can be purchased from Tim for 200 Silver.
Mastery
Learning all the Passive Skills and Purchasing a Tome will Master the Mage Class. At this point, Tim will act as a guide, directing the player toward the Desert. A former student of his, by the name of Angela is located there inside of a Church. Players who find her will be able to unlock their hidden potential, continuing their Training and becoming a Cleric.
“Ah yes, I’ve just remembered a former student named Angelina… or was it Angela…? Hmm… well, a former student of mine has been travelling the throughout the Desert studying it’s ancient ruins. She’s a powerful Priest, if you manage to track her down, perhaps you could study under her.”
