Hermit Crab

In Shells, you can have a pet that helps you with your digging in the form of a Hermit Crab. It will passively collect Shells as you dig and move around the map.

Overview

In order for your Hermit Crab to start gathering Shells it will need to equip a Shell, which will be it’s home. The Hermit Crab can equip 1 of 4 Shells: Conch, Nautilus Shell, Vortex Whorl, and Imperialis Delphinus. Depending on the Shell equipped you will get a luck and speed increase.

Stats

The Hermit Crab will have it’s own set of stats which you can upgrade by leveling the crab up.

Luck: increases the chance of finding rare or higher shells.
Speed: increases the time between each shell the Hermit Crab finds.
Space: increases the number of items the Hermit Crab can carry.
Weight: increases the heaviest item the crab is able to pick up.
