Runes
Runes are obtainable items in The Forge which, when found, can be placed inside of equipment sockets called Rune Slots. Rune Slots are usually unlocked by Enhancing your equipment to +3.
However, in some cases—specifically when it comes to Pickaxes—some equipment comes with Rune Slots already unlocked.

- Increased Stats or extra Traits:
- Visuals:
- Some of the Runes, when applied to a piece of equipment, can alter its visual appearance. For example, slotting a Flame Spark Rune onto a Weapon will grant it a fiery appearance.

Note: Unwanted Runes can be sold for $ by talking to the Greedy Cey NPC.
Acquiring Runes
Note: If you still haven’t unlocked all of the enemies in the Enemy tab of the Index, you can check out which enemy drops what by heading over to our Enemies page.
Runes are primarily dropped by enemies when defeated. By opening up your Index, and going to the Enemies tab, you can see which Enemies drop Runes, and what are their drop Chances.

Attaching Runes
Note: In order to attach or slot Runes onto a piece of equipment, you’ll first need to Enhance it up to +3 to unlock the first Rune Slot.

To Attach a Rune, players will need to visit the Runemaker NPC, which can be found at his shop in Stonewake’s Cross, or in the Forgotten Kingdom.
The process of Attaching Runes will require the player pay $, in exchange for the Runemaker’s services.
Interacting with the Runemaker NPC will open up the “Equipment Selection” screen. After selecting a piece of Equipment, players can choose which Rune they would like to Attach. Selecting it, and clicking the “Attach” button will bind the Rune to your Equipment.

If I attach the Rage Mark rune to all three types of armor (shirt, pants, and helmet), what will happen when my health drops to 35% and I activate it (will it stack the stats of all three) or (will it only activate one of the three)?
