Human
As already mentioned, you are Human at start, and in case you want to stay Human, you will join the Demon Slayer Corps and become a Demon Slayer by completing the Final Selection. Demon Slayers go through hard training to learn Breathing Styles and Sword Techniques to fight the Demons. The main goal is to annihilate the Demon King/Queen. Demon Slayers also have access to Slayer Marks, which can improve your fighting strength.
Demon
Demons are a ancient race of monstrous beings. They are powerful and have increased regenerative ability but their weakness is sunlight. Demons can learn Blood Demon Arts which is similar to the Demon Slayer’s Breathings.
How to Become a Demon
In order to become a Demon, you’ll have to talk to Muzzan NPC at Winter Village and offer him 1000 yen.
Progression
Demon Slayers and Demons can increase their rank by defeating opponent from opposite faction. It does not matter which NPC you defeat, you will always get 1 Reputation Point.

How to Reset the Race
To reset your Race, you will have to use the Race Reset Potion. You can buy it at the Potion Shop, which is located at the the Little Village. You will need Crystal Essence or 250,000 yen.
