Trick or Treat

This is the main mechanic added to the game. In the forest you can now find many houses with pumpkins in front of them. You will need to light up the pumpkins with Candles to unlock each house.

After lighting up the pumpkins, you will be able to go into the house and ask the NPC “Trick or Treat”. There are a total of 10 unique houses with different NPCs inside of them.

If you get Trick you will be affected by something or forced to do something, while getting Treat will get you a random useful item.

• Metal items
• Food
• Weapons
• Armor
• Currency
• Other Items

All Tricks

• Every item in your sack is dropped
• Your screen will be covered in pumpkins
• You get a metal ball that is chained to your leg
• You get transformed into a frog
• You get launched from the house
• Controls become inversed

How to Get Candles

Candles are collectable items that you can find while playing 99 Nights in the Forest. You can get them by opening chests, killing cultists, fishing during cultist raids, and looting the Cultist Stronghold.

After getting enough Candles, you can place them inside the pumpkins in front of the house, after which you will be able to enter.

Event Shop

In the lobby, there is a Scarecrow with a pumpkin on its head. You can interact with the Scarecrow to see the special event shop that has unique items only available during this event.
