Eggs are one of the core mechanics in Build a Zoo. They serve as a source for all animals in the game, and can be primarily obtained through Conveyors. Although, some Eggs can also be acquired through other means, mainly Codes.

Hatching Eggs is essential for growing your Zoo, as they unlock new Animal species and increase your profits.

Overview

Each of the Eggs in Build a Zoo contains specific Animals, heavily affected by the Egg’s rarity. For example, higher rarity Eggs will be able to Hatch higher rarity Animals.

Eggs come in a number of different rarities, with each consecutive Egg being more expensive to purchase than the previous one.

Acquiring Eggs

The main source of Eggs in Build a Zoo is the Conveyor. By upgrading the Conveyor, you’ll be able to get better quality and higher rarity Eggs.

Note: Fish, Sharks and other sea based Animals can only be obtained through Eggs acquired by Fishing.

Mutations

Eggs can have certain affixes called Mutations. These can be applied when an Egg spawns on the Conveyor, or through Events.

An Egg’s Mutation is automatically transferred to an Animal when it hatches. These Mutations will increase the Animal’s sell prices and earnings per second.
