Islands

Islands are the primary destinations for players in VOYAGERS. They serve as points of interest, filled with Loot, enemies and Items required for progressing towards the final Kraken Boss Battle.

Most of the Islands, and the Loot found on them, are randomly generated, thanks to the procedurally generated nature of the game world in VOYAGERS. The only exception being the following:

  • Merchant Island
  • Mysterious Island
  • Cursed Island

Island Types

Randomly Generated Islands

Randomly Generated Islands are the most common ones players will come across in VOYAGERS. Strewn about in the vast ocean, these Islands are home to Zombies which players will need to defeat in order to gather the Loot found on them.

Merchant Islands

Merchant Islands are, in essence, the same as the randomly generated ones. However, these Islands have a guaranteed chance of having a Merchant inhabiting the Island. By visiting the Merchant’s stand, players can sell their hard-earned Loot, and buy specific Tools and Weapons on offer.

Mysterious Island

This Island is the first step toward spawning the Kraken Boss. Players can easily navigate their ship toward it by using the Mysterious Compass, which they spawn with at the start of every run.

By defeating the Zombies outside, players will be able to reach the inside of the cave located on the Island. Once inside, a random Cursed Weapon and various other Loot can be found on the ground, accompanied by the Cursed Compass, which will lead players to the Cursed Island.

Cursed Island

The unique and haunting nature of this Island serves as the the final step in the players journey. Home to the Cursed Conch, an item used to summon the Kraken Boss. Players can navigate to it by using the Cursed Compass item found on the Mysterious Island.

Once equipped, the Cursed Compass will point the player towards the Cursed Island, indicating the distance needed to travel beneath the compass bar at the top of the screen.
