The Hunted Monsters
Monster | Description | Mechanics and Strategy |
---|---|---|
![]() Pipsqueak | Pipsqueak is a variant of the Angler Monster. Shrouded in smoke, its ever-present grin will haunt players inside of the Hunted Expedition. It’s spawns are unpredictable, hiding behind closed doors, and leaping out of them once opened. | The nature of the Pipsqueak will force players to hide in lockers, if not possible breaking its line of sight will also do the trick. Be wary, as it is much faster than its regular Angler counterpart. |
![]() Rebarb | Rebarb is a gigantic hunk of rebar and concrete, with a single eye creeping behind its concrete mask. It waits silently in dark corners of rooms, waiting for players to make contact before shrieking and pouncing on them. | Players can repel the Rebarb monster by using a Flash Beacon on it. However, failing to respond in time will result in a horrifying, deadly grapple. When stunned, or if a Pipsqueak appears, the Rebarb will retreat. |
![]() The Crooked | The Crooked is a mutated Urbanshade soldier, stalking players in the Outskirts. It’s monstrous appearance is somewhat covered by the Urbanshade uniform, however it has a couple of distinct, and disturbing features. A wide, crooked smile, elongated fingers, caved in skull, and a watchful eye that never blinks, constantly following the players movements. | The Crooked will only move when unobserved. Players turning their backs to it will cause it to quickly close the distance and knock them down, before politely helping them up. if a Pipsqueak appears, the Crooked will hide. |
![]() The Witching Hour | The Witching Hour is a pink, smoke-shrouded, skeletal wraith which will appear after collecting the first Token Fragment inside the Vault. After collecting the first fragment, it will slowly, but constantly hunt the player. It’s inescapable approach, faint whispers and momentary visibility through walls serve as a deadly reminder during the Vault stage. | There is no way to fight or repel The Witching Hour, the only way for players to survive is to collect all the Token Fragments before it catches up to them. |
