Disease Skills

In Absolvement, Disease Skills are mostly oriented around dealing single targe damage over time (DOT). One of the stronger Skills can also resurrect one of the slain to fight for you. There are 3 rarities for this Skill type:

Fetid Strike

An advanced Disease Skill.

Imbue your arm with an unknown disease, inflicting 13 Disease Damage when striking enemies.

Upgrade Potentials:

  • Fetid Slash 1/1 (Common) Fetid Strike now applies Bleed.

Pestilence

An advanced Disease Skill.

Unleash a wave of plague and death, causing enemies within a large area around you to take 2.15 Disease Damage per second. Pestilence will run rampant for 15 seconds.

Upgrade Potentials:

  • Pandemic 5/5 (Uncommon) Pestilence area-of-effect size is increased by 4 studs.
  • Necrotic Pestilence 1/1 (Rare) Pestilence now affects enemies with Rot.
  • Black Death 1/1 (Mythic) Pestilence now causes enemies to take 3 additional Disease damage per second for 10 seconds.

Blood Plague

A masterful Disease Skill.

Slice with a plague-infused blade, hitting nearby targets for 11 Disease damage. If the enemy is currently bleeding, inflict them with the plague. When Blood Plague is applied, deal 8 Disease Damage (up to a maximum of 1.75% of the enemy’s Maximum Health) per second until the effect expires.

Upgrade Potentials:

  • Shared Suffering 1/1 (Intermediate) Blood Plague now affects your allies increasing your damage over time by 15%.
  • Chronic Plague 3/3 (Advanced) Blood Plague’s duration lasts a second longer.
  • Patient Three 1/1 (Mythical) Blood Plague no longer requires the enemy to be bleeding to apply it’s effect.
  • Epidemic 1/1 (Mythical) Blood Plague will now Explode enemies on death and infect nearby enemies with Blood Plague.

Necrotic Rot

A masterful Disease spell.

Throw a globe of festering rot towards your cursor, dealing 5 Disease damage on impact and rotting the nearby area for 7 seconds. If an enemy steps within the area of rot, they will take 1.77 Disease damage a second.

Additionally, they will be infected with rot, reducing their armor by 20 and their walkspeed by 3 for 7 seconds.

Necrotic Rot Disease Skill in AbsolvementUnique

Upgrade Potentials:

  • Fervid Infection 1/1 (Uncommon) – Increases Necrotic Rot damage by 10%

Upgrade Paths:

  • Plague Detonation 1/1 (Mythical) – When Whirling Flames collides with Necrotic Rot, it will EXPLODE, dealing 20 Plague Fire damage and applying Rot. This Locks Out Cryopathic Eruption and Locks Out Ash Tornado.

Necropolis

A forbidden spell only used by those wretched in mind and devoid of consequence, as the revived cadaver has no consciousness beyond what was fed to it by the summoner. It has no emotion, no reasoning, only the intent to kill and protect its master.

Resurrect a recently slain enemy and bind them to you with the power of necromancy. This new minion will fight for you until they are killed once more, or until 45 seconds pass. The strength and vitality of the reborn cadaver is completely dependent on the difficulty of the layer the corpse was resurrected on.

Necropolis Disease Skill in AbsolvementMythical

Upgrade Potentials:

  • Army of the Dead 1/1 (Mythical) – Necropolis now summons 2 additional ghouls. The cooldown is also reduced by 30 seconds

Upgrade Paths:

  • Unholy Stitching 1/1 (Masterful) Necropolis summons a stronger ghoul. Summoned ghouls will have 10% More Health and last 33% longer. This locks out Rotter
  • Rotter 1/1 (Masterful) Necropolis no longer requires a nearby corpse to activate. Summoned ghouls will deal 15% Less Damage and have 15% Less Health, It will also last 66% of it’s original duration. This Locks out Unholy Stitching.
  • Festering Ghoul 1/1 (Unique) – The summoned ghoul from Necropolis is now a harbinger of the plague. Each successful strike it deals has a 10% chance to either apply bleed or disease, both dealing 2 Damage per second for 6 seconds
